A sista on facebook posted this article. I decided to read it, and WHAT do you know! An OIL SPILL! Little do people know about the major oil spills along the coast of NIGERIA. Please read this article it is very informative. Oil is a big deal. Especially when the issue concerns the Cradle of Civilization.

An interview conducted by Sasha Kelly
Came across this inspirational interview conducted by Sasha Kelly. Queen's D Light is a cinematic Griot, who is excited about the new art movement dispersing through the San Francisco Bay Area. In the interview, she mentions "Modern Day African Life in America" a term which is beginning to fulfill itself through the Black & Brown community of the San Francisco Bay Area. This video interview is uplifting. Resonating much truth through the power of her gracious words of expression, feelings, and thought. Peace to you Queen's D Light.
My Sistren Ms. Kelly conducted a lovely interview with myself about the Bay area art movement. Please check it out and many more of C-TV’s on-point interviews.

The Rape of the Samburu Women
“For more than fifty years, England has maintained military training facilities in the Samburu region of its former colony, Kenya. During this period, women in the area have faced an epidemic of rape. Women from the Samburu, Massai, Rendile and Turkana indigenous communities have filed more than 600 official rape claims against British soldiers. Yet, despite documentation of their claims, a three-year internal investigation by the Royal Military Police (RMP) cleared all soldiers of wrongdoing. Meanwhile, the victims have been shamed and outcast in their communities, many to the point of exile. In the mid-1990s, Beatrice Chili responded to this situation by establishing the village of Senchen, a self-sufficient community run entirely by women. There, women build homes, weave textiles, gather and grow food, and raise children. This short film visits the brave women of Senchen, who speak candidly about their suffering and talk passionately about their demands for justice. Watch the film to hear their stories and to find out how you can offer your support.”

peace loves
Peace All!
...I am currently working on creating as many peaces as possible. I am excited to actually launch my small business which I pray will be a success. While also, uplifting women from all around (in the local community) and so on. My current project right now involves an awesome third grade teacher I work with. I am creating her very special peaces for her sorority (Zeta Phi Beta, Black Greek-lettered Sorority). This should give my small busniess a jump!
Also, my fall semester is just about over. Praise be to God. Grateful and thankful for all God blessed me with. The wonderful faces, smiles, experiences, and opportunities.
I have learned my way through time and I am on a new journey. I am very much so intrigued by my own kind (women-Black Women). Intriguing, in a way which compells me to be the best 21st century Black Woman I can be. I aspire to a Woman of Excellence! I have learned that Black women's herstory teachs us that unless we fulfill our duty to family and community, there is no satisfaction and no possibility of peace. However, your self-worth come from inside.
The many experiences, faces (Black & Brown faces) I have encounter is all inspiration.
Shout Out to all those doing what you LOVE.
**I would love feedback about my peaces of Art. let me know what you think & also I would love to know what you ladies (men) would love to see. It is my goal to resonate truth through my peaces.
